October Sky ~ Canon 30d

Faith

I want to write about faith,
about the way the moon rises
over cold snow, night after night,

faithful even as it fades from fullness,
slowly becoming that last curving and impossible
sliver of light before the final darkness.

But I have no faith myself
I refuse it even the smallest entry.

Let this then, my small poem,
like a new moon, slender and barely open,
be the first prayer that opens me to faith.

~ David Whyte

Let this then, my small photo, like a flickering flame be the first chant that opens me to the miracle of this moment.

Image shot on a meditative walk with my camera during a break on my week-long retreat with Tsoknyi Rinpoche. wow.

Susan! Whast a moving poem. It touched the deepest part of my heart. Your photo is haunting. Fabulous. Thank you for both.
