Hi, I'm an herbalist. I have found MOTHERWORT to be very helpful with heart palpitations. It stops arrythmias almost immediately for me. I'm at the age that I need something to help me glide through menopause times & Motherwort seems to be a good one for that. Of course, a few others should be added to the "must have" list during menopause, but Motherwortt is great. I need to grow it, but haven't found any to start. I live in East Tennessee. I'm always afraid of getting the wrong "weed," although I've studied herbology.
I've also found many uses for LEMON BALM. I raise it. It is great for infections on the skin, which was a surprise to me. I knew, of course, that is was good for fever blisters, herpes, nerves, etc.., but when I crushed a leave and rubbed it on a small infection filled sore, it dried it up almost within minutes!! I rubbed in on a burn on my arm the other day and can barely even see the mark now. (I did use potato also--so not sure which one worked- on the burn) Of course, the warning for Lemon Balm is that it can make Hypothyrodism worse if used on regular basis.

I tried to post about Motherwort, but I posted it at the top, instead of under Motherwort. Please see that one for more comments, plus comments on LEMON BALM. I am an herbalist and have studied through a college in England. I have found Motherwort to be extremely helpful with heart palps, due to stress or menopausual palps. Use the tincture for fast results under tongue. I found that in organic alchohol works best for me. Of course, the best results would be from your own Motherwort tea, if you can grow your own plant. It is also good for your menopausal symptoms.
Black Cohosh, dong quai,--herbal combinations are good for hot flashes also. Herbs sometimes have to be taken for several days to several weeks before their value shows.

Susan, This whole series of plant compositions has been very powerful. As candy and jayne say above, I hope this retreat will be insightful and restorative (or has been, since I posted this after the 16th).
