I must say, that's one heck of a big bell, but not the biggest in the carillon room of the main tower of the Washington National Cathedral. The biggest, located on the opposite side of the room, is the only bell struck during funerals. During the demonstration the carillon master hit it a couple of times and I must admit it made me wonder who had just died. !B O N G!

Love love love the National Cathedral. Whenever I am back there I spent a whole day just taking it in. Great shot.
