The Edge ~ Canon 30d

Abstracts. They rarely speak for themselves, but always speak through the viewer's soul. So.. I'm wondering... what does this image say to you?

I'm in the midst of a bit of a writer's block, and instead of fighting against it, I'm just going to allow it some room. "Hi, WB! Wanna join me for tea? How 'bout we sit down and meditate together for awhile."

Perhaps we'll strike up a grand friendship, and I'll never write another post again. Maybe, Writer's Block, in all her wisdom, will open up an unknown window and shed some light upon undiscovered shadows lurking 'round the gateway to my soul. Maybe Writer's Block is simply an Angel of Awakening in disguise ~ bad grammar and jolty cadences aside, maybe there's something I'd be better off doing... like hand-gliding, pole dancing, feeding the hungry, or pushing past the zones of comfort with which I've staked out this blogging territory.

I'm in an abstract state of mind right now, and I'm not about to confess there's something wrong with it. There's light and shadow, and frost-bitten razor-sharp lines of radical awareness cutting deeply into the pastel colors of this pretty picture.

What does the image say to you? I wonder what it's saying to me.

Susan your images are so lovely and interesting, that most times, words are not needed. (But, they will come.) You exercise your "visual-voice" beautifully. ;c)

WB comes calling here regularly. But, when I don't try to throw her out, she gets bored and goes to visit someone else. Your turn, Ha, Ha! Seriously, just let it be. Your photos are worth a thousand words that only your viewers know. It's simply time for your visuals to work their magic without words!!

"There's light and shadow, and frost-bitten razor-sharp lines of radical awareness cutting deeply into the pastel colors of this pretty picture." Susan, that statement reflects everything in me right now.... how beautiful.

I don't think you have writer's block for your words are wonderfully expressive. What do I see in your beautiful photo? Blackness from the past, the purple/lavender beauty of today with frosty edges from cold thoughts and chilly experiences or they could be warm fuzzies from happy times and warm experiences clinging to your mind and soul. The lovely blue is the happiness and fulfillment that lies in the future for it is surely there. Ask for it, strive for the blue rays of tomorrow's sun to shine on you.

I never get WB, because I write contracts and there is always something to do. This, however, is not creative writing. In creative writing there are no bounds even to the occassional emptiness of something to say or write about.

The first word that came to mind is "life". I see life in this image. And, by the way, your words don't portray WB. They're beautifully written in my opinion.
