The Way of the Insect

If we go on the way we have, the fault is our greed... if we are not willing [to change], we will disappear from the face of the globe, to be replaced by the insect.
~ Jacques Cousteau

Comment from yesterday's post

This is life in the raw. No judgments and no excuses. The Mantis makes no excuses for its nature. No guilt. We humans, make excuses and try to justify our actions because of guilt. We have greed, hate, shame, lust, judgment, and we top this off with the cherry of ignorance, so we can sleep a happy life in opulence, while deep inside these things create inner conflict as ghost that emerge in many different ways.
~ Bob

I promise this is the last spooky bug shot... at least for awhile. Looking at our demons up-close and getting to know them can be spooky, but in the end, when we take a step back, we realize they're just bugs sitting on top of our sunflowers of possibility. The boundary of what we are willing to accept is the boundary of our freedom. The pests of ignorance, narcissism and self-loathing can be our greatest teachers, but only if we invite them in to tea. When we begin to understand the reasons for their presence we can begin practicing the art of sublimating them.
