The Eyes Have It ~ Choose Your Focus

My visit down to the Rivanna River wasn't for naught ~ t'was wonderful, it was! I didn't exactly want to leave, especially with that face up there running after me as I walked toward the MINI Cooper to head home. It should come as no surprise that Sam stole my heart* yet again. How could anyone resist those soulful eyes and that wonderful nose? A nose so far removed from the eyes, that I, the photographer, was left with a difficult decision... which plane to focus on? Which feature to render sharp, leaving the other to play a game of blurry catch-up? With this dog, it's a toss up, and since the nose moves around more than the eyes do, I chose to plant my attention on the gateway to this canine's soul. Be still, our hearts ~ this dog knows things deep inside of himself he probably "shouldn't" know.
Can you tell I love Sam? I do! I do! Eyes, nose, tail ~ he's a coffee-colored Snoopy Dog, but with curls!
Whether the eyes have it, or you choose to follow your nose. Eeeny Meeny Miney Mo ~ just pick one and then GO!
