Sam I Am

I'm going to be visiting my favorite dog, Sam, this weekend. I first met Sam exactly a year ago when I visited my tre-wonderful Buddhist/Artist/Photographer/Poet buddy, Joan, of Rivanna River Days.

You know what kills me about this image? The way his little back paws are curled up against the upholstery. Oh my God! He's killing me with cuteness!

This is the first time I've felt like I've wanted a dog in a long time. That picture says all the positive things about a dog/pet. But at this point in my life, I need the freedom of no pet. We've had 5 dogs and a couple of cats in the past.
