Tim Kenney's Enchanted Buddhist Forest ~ Canon 30d

Stand still. The trees ahead

and bushes beside you

Are not lost. Wherever you are is called Here.

And you must treat it as a powerful stranger.

Must ask permission to know it and be known.

The forest breathes. Listen. It answers.

I have made this place around you.

If you leave it you may come back again.

saying Here.

No two trees are the same to Raven.

No two branches are the same to Wren.

If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you.

You art surely lost. Stand still.

The forest knows

Where you are. You must let it find you.

Everything is unique and the birds know that better than us, after all they need to recognise individual trees to survive. Thanks for sharing this poem.

I love how personal this is, how it invites us to be one with the nature that surrounds us (if we will allow ourselves to be found there).

Beautiful poem, and the photo is perfect with it - the stillness of the man in the forest.

If what a tree or bush does is lost on you thou art truly lost.
