Today is the vernal equinox ~ equal portions ~ for all of us ~ of dark and light. Perfect balance. Our light and shadows in harmony, both externally and within ourselves.
To me, this image embodies this concept beautifully. The tulip's delicate pink satin flesh, so luminous and fresh, looks as though it might be crying. Our shadows, when given a space of loving presence to surface, have a way of transforming us into newer, more sparkly versions of our older selves.
No matter where you find yourself today ~ whether you feel you are experiencing unbearable amounts of shadow, or a jubilant capacity for abundance and joy ~ we are all called to a point of balance... of neutrality. What you think is really good, may not end up to be so good in the end. And... what seems unbearable at the moment could very well serve to clear and clean out your inner sanctuary for more love and freedom than you could have ever imagined. Greet this day of harmony with arms open wide. We can count on Spring to appear in the outer world every March, and with patience and contemplation, it will surely arrive within your heart.
You are a miracle. Accept and love each and every part of yourself.
Namaste ~ Susan.

Susan
Thanks for the thoughts on Spring and I share your aspirations. And things sometimes do turn out to be different than they seem in the present. Namaste.

Very sweet and thoughtful. So present in this moment. Complete balance for one day of darkness and light. The sacred Feminine and sacred Masculine in perfect harmony. Just like our souls at times, when we can reach that place of perfect centeredness.
I just a read a peace from my readings--
To traighten the crooked, you must first do a harder thing--Straighten yourself.
From the Dhammapada of Gautama the Buddha
This noticing what is there and seeing it as it is and being with it, is the way to straighten the self and to bring balance.
With metta.
