The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us, and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone.
~ George Eliot
What angels have visited you in this life whom you only recognized in retrospect? The Buddhists call them "Bodhisattvas" and... come to think of it... I'm beginning to recognize I'm being visited by a couple of them on a regular basis. Sometimes we talk on the phone, other times, we sit and have tea after meditation class. Angels are everywhere... so go out and find one... or better yet, begin the process of becoming one yourself. :)

photo/comments remind me of the line from the book of Hebrews - "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unaware."

When I saw this photo, my mind immediately went to this book I am reading, George and Sam, about a mom's life with two autistic sons. She writes about how once when they went to a church, George, who loved to blow out candles on a cake, ran to the front and proceeded to blow out all the intercessional candles that had been lit. Oh my... part of me grimaced and the other part snickered.

Photo is so warm and welcoming on this very cold day in KC.
Thank you for that glow of heat via the computer screen.
Oh, yes! Angels abound around us all the time. I became a much happier person when I realized they were there, those wonderful souls who offer friendship, a helping hand, a kind word, a giggle or a laugh. Bless them all.

thanks, everyone. It's always interesting to see which photos spark people's interest up here. We all have wings we're meant to spread and wrap around the hearts of those we come into contact with.
