Well, as my grandfather Henry Bowman used to say when he was still alive and kicking, "It's VOO DOO Day!"

Yep, it's the 13th and it's Friday, which means somebody's gonna get unlucky today. Will it be me? Will it be you? Appropritate it's falling during the month of Halloween, don't you think? I love creepy and mysterious stuff like Friday 13th, not because I'm demented or cruel, but because we need days like today to give superstition and worrying a free ride. It's okay to be illogical and neurotic, but only today, so take advantage of it. People will be less likely to think you're a bit touched or just plain crazy.

The sculpture above resides in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virgina and stands at Jefferson Davis' ostentatious, gloomy, confederate gravesite. How would you like HER hanging over your tomb? She looks somewhat like a Dementer, doesn't she?
