Can achieving happiness be that easy? I shot this near the end of the Unity Walk during the Hare Krisha serenade. These Krishnas seemed rather tame to me because although they chanted, there was absolutely no froliching to be witnessed. When I lived in Kansas City, they froliched round the amazing fountain on The Plaza ~ pink gowns billowing up and down like circus balloons in the afternoon sun. They looked so happy, my then-boyfriend used to tease about quitting his job and joining in on the fun full time. Which reminds me... I've often wondered why the women krishnas are conspicuously absent during the events. No matter ~ I find the music quite soothing, actually... especially the little accordions they play. Don't dismiss the Krishnas, 'cuz they could be onto something. From past experience, I can attest to the fact that froliching amidst singing can make one feel quite sublime.
