My dear friend Tamara and her hubby adopted these magical beings from Russia a couple years ago. I realize I'm more than a bit biased ~ but aren't they cute? Yes, the are ~ and let me tell you something... they really love me. You see, I have this amazing and talented way with children ~ within moments of meeting me, they bond quickly and permanently, confessing undying love and devotion to St. Susan, patron saint of MINI Coopers. Seriously, I think I rate higher on the coolness scale than the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy combined, my car is just THAT amazing.

Rob and Katie have spent many minutes of make-believe inside of my magic motorcar... to the point they're practically moved to peeing in their pants at the mere mention I might be visiting. The last time I dropped in, Tamara said she didn't tell them I was coming 'til the last moment because she couldn't bear to build their hopes up, only to dash them to pieces if I had to cancel ~ they like my car me that much!
A half hour before my arrival, each of them obsessively checked the front door, peering through the screen and excitedly asking, "Is the MINI Cooper Susie here yet?" Rob used to refer to it as the MINI Toooper, but on this last visit, he'd mastered his "C's" while galloping down the driveway and caressing the shiny red metal in an almost sensual manner. It kind of reminded me of Ralphie in The Christmas Story. You know... the scene where he oogles over his father's seductively tacky Lamp Leg "Major Award". And, this is not to say I blame Robert for his unbridled affection for my mind-blowing buggy. The first month I owned my MINI I unceasingly showered my affection over it too.

Whenever I pay a visit to Tamara's house, I have so much fun. These kids have a way of taking you out of yourself and into the present moment. They are simply great fun!

Awwww...they ARE cute! I must keep reminding myself of that, lest I string them up...
Yesterday I uncovered a small red mini cooper that had been buried in a backpack, and they've been playing "Susan is coming" today;) and fighting over who gets the mini cooper as well, of course.
Thanks for posting their pix:)
Love,
Tamara, the Siberians' mommy
