Ah Sunflower, weary of time,
Who countest the steps of the sun;
Seeking after that sweet golden clime
Where the traveller's journey is done;
Where the youth pined away with desire,
And the pale virgin shrouded in snow,
Arise from their graves, and aspire
Where my Sunflower wishes to go!
~ William Blake
This week's prompt for Poetry Thursday is "tick tock". Arise from your graves! Aspire to go where you wish.

This yellow in this flower is even more brilliant than Blake's own yellows! Yes.

the journey is still and silent for a sunflower, hardly anyone ever notices that it follows the sun.
