I love irises, and so I was thrilled when my daughter chose irises for her wedding flowers.
I posted pictures of three different colors on June 14.

What an interesting angle for that shot. And that is the color purple that I adore, lots of blue contrasted by the yellow pollen. Super.

It reminds me of a quotation from "The Color Purple," when Shug says to Miss Celie, "I think it pisses God off when you walk by the color purple in a field and don't notice it." I think regardless of one's religious affiliation...Alice Walker hits the nail on the head here. The color purple should never go unnoticed.
