I'm curious ~ is curiosity dangerous?
Well, perhaps on occasion curiosity has claimed a life or two, but I've heard from a very reliable source* that curiosity by itself is completely harmless. I'd venture a guess that the reason cats are so smart is due, in part, to their inherent inquisitiveness. You know why the cat's pajamas bottoms are so widely coveted? Why, of course it's because cats are such smarty pants, that's why.
Curiosity never killed no cat! It's only when curiosity is paired with some low energy sort of human foible, like unbridled stupidity, lack of judgement, or an unfortunate dose of hubris, that people start dropping like flies due to their inquisitive natures.
On the other hand, the lack of curiosity has condemned what could have/would have/should have been the brightest of minds to the vast wasteland of the TV-induced American Coma. Curiosity and creativity go hand in hand. Start investigating and asking questions, and inspiration won't be far behind, sparking insanely wonderful ideas and never before thought of solutions to your problems. Curiosity makes our minds more elastic and open toward learning, bringing bright new ideas into our lives and giving birth to positive thinking.
I am CURIOUS! Therefore I am HAPPY!
Leave your lazy ass behind, as well as the bad attitude ~ becoming curious about yourself and and your world can only lead to further enlightenment. Snap yourself out of the waking trance ~ step outside of yourself and start asking questions.
Why waste time thinking it's all too hard, or a total lost cause? Think what could be, spend time wondering out loud.. on the subway perhaps! Just think of all the free space you'll have in the seats around you to fill your ideas with!
Curiosity never did kill the cat, but indeed, a lack of it could very well starve the world.

I always said she was one smart cat to hide from all the rest of them. Wonder what she was thinking about while secluded away in a closet or under the bed. She was smart enough to wait until she had you all to herself.

great thoughts...where would we be without it? it's what gets us crawling...and then pulling up...and then walking...and then all the other things we try out in our lifetime...
