Almost all words do have color and nothing is more pleasant than to utter a pink word and see someone's eyes light up and know it is a pink word for him or her too.
~ Gladys Taber
It's been raining cats and dogs in DC! I ventured out to Wolf Trap Farm Park to see River Dance on Sunday night, and could barely hear music the torrential rain, thunder and lightning. Mother nature upstaged the dancers as the poor souls on the lawn screamed and ran for cover while at least 2 inches of rain washed over them. I felt like a first class passenger on the Titanic... listening to celtic music and dancing away as the second classers drowned on the lawn.
When I got back to the apartment, a light rain was dancing on the hydrangea bush by the front door. I couldn't help myself ~ I picked (stole) a pink bloom for myself ~ a pink smile that has reminded me life is still sunny the last few days despite the relentless storm outside.

Loved the analogy to the Titanic. From what we hear on the news DC is about to wash away for sure. Love pink. Pink makes me thing of little girls in pink dresses, sox and ribbons in their hair. Cotton candy and salt water taffy. Prom dresses and Spring bouquets.

I also love Pink!! Miss Lilliput's pink nose, pink pigs, pink elephants ... anything pink ... it's a joyous, relaxed feeling!

i have called my daughter 'pink' since she was born, she is the physical representation of that color to me. (this was long before the singer pink came on the scene). i love that quote, and the images are so smooth and pink - they look like a collection of tiny kitten tongues - beautiful!

S - love that quote. Are you a synesthetic? Being a designer I wish I was!
