In my observation of tulips this spring, I've noticed there are certain aberrations ~ strangely beautiful occurances ~ when tulips don't turn out quite the way the gardener intended. The petals on this one seemed as though they weren't quite "ripe" ~ partly green, and boasting an asymmetrical and "radishy" appearance. This particular one caught my eye because it looked so peculiar and beautiful at the same time. I love the spider web string in the picture which seems to strike a note unlike all the rest of the flowers. A disonnant yet resonant chord.
I can identify because I am different, a bit peculiar, and radish-like. Some days I dance through the back yard with cobwebs in my head. The masses don't quite understand me because I am an artist. Perhaps my gardener intended something other than what I became ~ but he knows creativity relies heavily on random, unexpected and thrilling accidents. So, I'll continue to sing this oddly beautiful song, this melody I was born to communicate.
'Tis something to melt into and celebrate ~ this becoming an artist.

I love your close ups of the flowers and the not-quite perfect, but even more beautiful aspects of them that you capture.

How wonderful that you can accept that you sing songs that are different from the ones other people sing. Most people don't know themselves well enough to hear their own tunes, never mind accept them. But we all have them and wouldn't it be wonderful if we all got together and created beautiful, moving harmonies? Maybe the world would change.

Nicely said, Susan.
("radish-like"? Okay, but I'm hoping the poet drops by to work his magic with that one!)

Yes, I do remember you twirling around in the back yard singing your own tune, as well as creating something wonderful out of anything you could find in my sewing drawers, desk top or school folders. You have sung your own song and dnaced your own dance from birth and have always come up with beautiful and wonderous results.
Radish like? Hmm-mmm. Radishes grow quickly in good soil, have lovely green hats and gloriously red bodies with a wisp of a tail and white necklaces. I'd say that well cared for and given lots of loving care they are absolutely spectacular in their beauty. So! You are quite a radish my dear.
