I've been on the South Beach Bandwagon for a couple of weeks now. The other day I joyously reported the loss of 8 pounds to Rob. After discussing the virtues of Phase I and it's prohibition of all wheat and sugar products, I bemoaned the lack of food in my pantry and decided, by default, I'd be moving to Phase II with a plate of whole wheat pasta for dinner.
The Goofy Poet, the one who pays rent inside his head, didn't miss a beat ~ 5 minutes later the following rhyme found its way to my inbox.
South Beach Gal
She was a gal on carbo fast
Tried to make the diet last
Stayed away from bread and taters
And gave the evil eye to waiters
She starved herself and lost eight pounds
Avoided having second rounds
Til appetite said "I am ready"
She downed a pound of wheat spaghetti!
~ Rob White
ps ~ this will most likely be the last photo I will post using my nikon digital camera. I've been dancing around the apartment doing a celebratory jig of anticipation ~ I'm impatiently awaiting the arrival of my new Canon SLR this afternoon. I can HARDLY STAND IT!

You can give it to me! yay for that idea!

So which camera are you getting? I really want a digital canon rebel.

I'm so jealous... I sat for an hour last night looking at Canons for sale on ebay. There are like a million of them on there and I only want ONE.
But, I can't imagine your photos getting any better.
p.s. I always love Rob's poems.

what to do with the old nikon? I'm keeping it. The coolpix I own which was discontinued by nikon (figures.. duh!) has served me super-well. I'll keep it as my knock-around camera. After all, it DID survive getting dunked in sea water a year ago!
