Dorky Deer

I was all jazzed after I shot these pics of deer out of the car window on our way out of Skyline Drive. It was just getting dark, and deer were magically appearing on the side of the road as if from out of nowhere. We were SO CLOSE to them, and they just looked up and stared at the car and then went back to grazing.

When we got back to my apartment, I asked Rob where the deer images were.

He said, "Oh? The dorky deer? That's probably not going to make a good greeting card."

"DORKY deer?" I admonished... "He certainly wasn't dorky!"

"Uh-huh."

"Nah-uh."

"Take a look for yourself."

"Oh, man... he is kind of dorkish, isn't he?"

"Blogfodder."

"Well, cute blogfodder."

Now that I think of it, I'm guessing the deer had the mouth-open goofy look on his face because he'd never seen a red MINI Cooper before. It's as if he's thinkin', "Gee whiz, what kind of wierd-ass deer is THAT?"

And then, suddenly... all three turned and walked away.

You'd think people would be into deer cards, but it seems like they aren't. Not sure what's up with that... perhaps people think they're not unique enough or something. Personally, I think they're really awesome!

This city boy is not sure, but I think he is a she. No antlers or antler buds, unless he/she/it is too young.

Maybe the dorky deer wouldn't work but the deer butts have a very quirky appealing quality to them!

I think dorky dear could become popular! Heads, butts, whatever. She has a lot of personality and inquisitiveness in those eyes. I disagree with Rob. Cute card for guys.
