Favorite Word ~ Gazebo

This gazebo is located in the Bishop's Garden at the Washington Cathedral. I know I drone on and on about the Bishop's Garden, but it truly is one of my favorita places! Last month was the first time I've seen it in the snow, and I'm pretty sure you can find the word gaze in gazebo because they are truly wonderful structures to sit and gaze out of ~ especially if there's a cathedral right next door!

Drone on; those are always wonderful images. Only a dullard would get tired of them...

Looks like it would be an oasis in the city.

Agreed: drone on!

I sat among the fallen snow
And watched the birth of mornings glow
Within the towers gray shadow
Beneath the slate roofed gazebo

i honestly can't even imagine you droning - you're far to lyrical and spirited to be considered droning about anything!

i've been a sucker for gazebos since the sound of music and that lovely glassed in one where she hops from bench seat to bench seat in that lovely dance.

this one too is magnificent. i can't wait to one day get to dc to visit with you and see the cathedral through your eyes.

i just found out that one of my blogging friends father is a docent there. it is truly a place to meet with god - beautiful!
