O Tannenbaum!

My mom and I got the tree up over Thanksgiving! This year she and my stepfather decided to get one of those fancy pre-lit fake ones. You know what that means? This is the first year (of most likely many) that I will not be given the dubious honor of stringing the lights. I must say it was divine not having to wrestle with (and swearat) the tree this year... unlike last year.

I'm feeling nostgalic over memories of Christmases past when I used to have a REAL tree of my own each season. Now that I leave town to celebrate each year, I just can't do it anymore ~ sigh.

Wow-that's a beautiful tree! Fake or not you all did a great job decorating.

I always went out in the woods, found a suitable tree and dug it up so that I could replant it in our yard after Christmas. I thought it was great fun...evidently my kids didn't. Two years ago they asked if we could NOT go get a live tree. They didn't think it was worth going thru the pain of evergreen needles.
My oldest son bought me one of those fiber optic trees. It is kind of pretty and it is very easy!

Very pretty (from a convert to fake trees a few years back).

I think it is fantastic and we do one great job of decorating if I do say so myself.

String your ornaments on ribbon in the window and watch Ollie become entranced
