The first sunrise in the US can be experienced on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia Park in lovely Bar Harbor, Maine. Few things are worth waking up at 4:30 in the morning, and this sure is one of them.

yep, "wow" is what I said when we walked up the stairs and caught a glimpse of the clouds literally sweeping past us with the sun behind... it was so COOL!

Really stunning work, I love the sense of the the sun not only rising but also rushing towards us in this selection.

Even more kudos to you for the early start too! To me, one of the best things about winter is not having to get up so early to see the sunrise :-)
