All Saints Night!

October 31, 2005

ph_oct_jackolantern.jpg

Not a time for tricks or treats
This cold and rain filled All Saints Night
Depart ye monsters from my sight
Melt back to the fridged gloom
Sufice this weather to give me fright.

I need not ghosts to wake the dead
I've goblins gouls and devils thrice
There's frozen rain upon my face
Stir the coals and give me light
And thaw these bones as cold as ice

Yea I cheer Octobers end
Yet loath the chill November sends
But heap not witches, nor headless men
Or tricks this druid night portends
Stir the flames to make them bright
And toast an end to All Saints Night!
