It's like walking into a cathedral. It reminds me that what I do in the world is a valuable and important thing.
~ Mary Gordon

A pile of rocks ceases to be a rock when somebody contemplates it with the idea of a cathedral in mind.
~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery

That great Cathedral space which was childhood.
~ Virginia Woolf

I never weary of great churches. It is my favorite kind of mountain scenery. Mankind was never so happily inspired as when it made a cathedral.
~ Robert Louis Stevenson

"He who has seen one cathedral ten times has seen something; he who has seen ten cathedrals once has seen but little; and he who has spent half an hour in each of a hundred cathedrals has seen nothing at all."
~ Sinclair Lewis
{ Just some more images Rob and I have in the Cathedral Store. Take a look at the photo from yesterday's post... just as holy... just as beautiful. }

All too often you make me just say "Wow!"
Thank you!

"Wow!" is right!
God is worthy of such splendour, and to think He lives in our hearts, if we'll let Him!

yesterdays was another kind of cathedral!
these are truly breathtaking. i love the quotes you have paired with these - especially the one about childhood. i have never thought of my own childhood that way, but i love to think of my children's childhood in this way. very honoring.
you have such a wonderful gift! did you get any macro shots or anything close up there? if you haven't i'd love to see the cathedral in macro through your eyes. i'm sure there is so much detail that goes 'unnoticed' because of the glory of the whole landscape. you have such an eye for the detail - it would be an interesting study.

Amazing! Thank you. I love cathedrals........the symmetry is incredible. Pure genius. Is the quote by Robert Stevenson - Robert L. Stevenson, as in the writer?

Yes, I double-checked and it is Robert Louis Stephenson!
Thanks for your comments... it's so nice to know the images are appreciated!

So amazing that even I can't say anything, in the presence of this kind of beauty.
