The summer
teeters
now
into old age,
as do I,
those blackberries
that still cling
to their thorny arms
withering,
readying themselves
to trust the earth again,
where,
for a moment
at least,
there is a place for everything.
-Bernardo Taiz
And so today we teeter. It is the Autumnal Equinox~for one shining day, the earth is balanced between day and night, light and dark, yin and yang ~ equal, harmonious, all is well with the world. Don't you just love the words? Autumnal Equinox? I do.

Fall is my favorite time of year!!!! I hope that you'll be able to share the lovely fruits of the harvest with us this weekend!
"In the autumn, when you gather the grapes of your vineyard for the winepress, say in you heart, "I too am a vineyard, and my fruit shall be gathered for the winepress, And like new wine I shall be kept in eternal vessels."
And in winter, when you draw the wine, let there be in your heart a song for each cup; And let there be in the song a remembrance for the autumn days, and for the vineyard, and for the winepress."
From Khalil Gibran, "The Prophet"

The word "autumnal" is fun to say in any context! I love the equinoxes. I like to see ways that I'm in balance, and ways that I still need to restore balance.
