More Blog Trouble...

Movabletype (the folks that make the software that runs my blog) notified me yesterday that they were aware of the issues I'm having with regard to the errors I've been encountering while attempting to log on and/or include images in my posts. Minor issues, really... I mean, it's not like I'm a photographer or anything, right?
Anywho, I was impressed they got back to me so quickly, but really NOT impressed they mentioned the newest update to Perl isn't compatible with their software... AND, since their programmers were all out for the 4th, they couldn't make any promises at the moment that they would commit to ever fixing it in the future.
I paid for this software... this simply wasn't the right answer. I don't complain much on this blog, because I view it as a place where I can focus my lens on the good things in life... but I sure do hope they figure out a way around this problem. If you're using an RSS feed, I apologize for the numerous attempts I made yesterday to post my july 4th entry... sigh.... I ended up trying to delete portions of the entry to get it to work... which made it work, but when I added new text, it stopped working... then it crashed... then it pretended to cooperate... then I began tearing my hair out. I finally gave up after wrestling with it for almost an hour, and losing most of what I had written... growl.

Read this just in time...was considering an upgrade to the newest version, but nooooooo. I'm kinda funny about my images and text showing up where I put them.

Ugh. I'm sorry sweetie. I feel your pain. MT stopped my blogging for awhile as their was no support for my troubles with it.
I have but two words for you, actually one, as they string them together: WordPress: as in http://wordpress.org/

Ugh is right... switching over would be a hefty pain, but it may be worth it.
