Thanks to Rob who helped me with the name of this bushy flowery thing outside of my apartment building. For some reason, the word hydrangea always escapes me. I usually see these in purple, but this particular bush is showing off white, pink and purple blooms. Perhaps this is due to a variety of acidity in the surrounding soil. A lot of my neighbors have dogs that stop to pee on one side of it all the time. Thus, one side is acidic, the other side, alkaline.
Just goes to show that even when your parade gets peed on, it can still turn out all right.

So are we looking at the pee side or the non-pee side? It's lovely, either way.

At first I didn't think it was hydrangea(since they have really big blooms) but then I remembered that you are the queen of micro.
I've heard that you can change the color of a hydrangea by changing the acidity of the soil. Some people around here put old rusty nails in the flower beds around them to more blue.

Why waste time burying rusty nails, when all you gotta do is pee on them?
I'm a big fan of simplification ~

Gorgeous!! One of my favorite flowers (alhtough I like the blue ones best!). If you get a chance to go to the Fransiscan Monastary these are everywhere.

I loved your last line, "Just goes to show that even when your parade gets peed on, it can still turn out all right." 'Tis good to remember. :)
