And there is Hope

I shot this backstage at the AFL-CIO convention during Senator Barack Obama's address. I'm pretty fed-up with politicians (a completely bi-partisan sentiment) but this man gives me a sense of hope for the future. Like everyone else, the first time I heard him was during his stunning speech at the Democratic convention last year. After seeing him in person, I can say he's incredibly charismatic ~ an actual energy seems to kind of surround him. I stood watching backstage and came to the conclusion he will likely be president someday... I hope so.

Saw him on the Oprah show. Even as a Canadian, I was impressed with what I saw and heard. I have to tell you however, that I am very sceptical of politicians of all stripes. Hope Mr. Obama can deliver.

You saw Barak Obama!!!!!? OMG, I'm terribly jealous...I've been dying to see/meet him since the Dem convention last year. He's my new hero...have you read his memior? He's really an incredible man, and it's a horrible shame that he's married, because I'm totally in love with him!!!! Sigh...he will be POTUS someday...god, for all of our sakes, I sure hope so!

Yep, he's somethin' else. The assit. producer got all excited because he touched her elbow. He has an effect on the ladies, it seems... even Oprah.
