I love them too. They are so graceful, and so smart and sassy. I love watching them. By the way, you'd think they wouldn't live in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, but we have them all over the place here. I guess they live at the lakes.

I don't care how beautiful they are. Shit-hawks. That's what they are: Shit-hawks. (Pardon the expression!)

Art, someone just told me that the "shit-hawks" saved the Mormons. Seems they ate a bunch of crickets and stopped some sort of cricket plague. Maybe they're really Birds of God. There's even a statue in Salt Lake City dedicated to the noble (poop) Bird of God.

;-)

Here's a link to the story of THE MIRACLE OF THE GULLS... scroll down to "Faith Promoting Embellishments of our Faithful Feathered Friends" They ate crickets and then vomited them up... returning to eat MORE crickets to save the Osmonds.

"Saving the Osmonds..." I'll have to rememeber that this summer at the beach.

*pigeons* are rats with wings, not seagulls... seagulls are maybe stoats or weasels with wings... scrawk!
