Pancho & Sancho

As promised, here I am with my fine feathered Mexican friends. Pancho (the one on the right) kissed me right on the lips 3 times! These birds are so awesome. It was wonderful to hold them and see them up close. Sadly, the scarlet macaw is an endangered species, but the Eco-Park, Xcaret has been very successful breeding these enchanting creatures.

Yikes, if I'm not mistaken, these birds can bite a finger or a lip off in a heartbeat. I guess you were pretty confident that they were tame, right?
