Anglican Self Portrait

April 7, 2005

ph_mar_crosshead.jpg

I came across this unique little Anglican Chapel inside of a store window in Easton, Maryland. No kidding, it was on a cute little street surrounded by shops and restaurants.

See my reflection in the plate glass? Looks creepily surreal with my head ablaze in a halo of glory, doesn't it? (All I need now are a pair of Liturgical Shoes to polish off my wardrobe.)

This image is both whimsical & weird. I love the intensity of the glowing cross and ruby-red doors... the bizzare glow of the crucifix blazing where my head should be. Magically ironic and interesting... maybe a bit like me.
