We decorated my mom's house overe the weekend. The Swedish chest was opened and the Dala Horse was pulled out. Ahhhh... it really IS Christmas now!
When in town, I am always given the dubious honor of stringing the Christmas lights. Unfortunately, I'm really good at it. REALLY REALLY good at it. After walking around in circles for an hour, and listening to the soundtrack of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" three times in a row. (I was too tangled up in wire to change the disc) I flopped on the couch and engaged in some old–fashioned Christmas whining. It's allowed.
After some dinner and some festive holiday music I was up and running again and ready for the final phase! Trimming the tree!
Here's a picture I shot of my mom draping the garland.

And here's a shot of my stepfather at the very same moment watching a football game. (We gladly granted him permission. We're both pretty fussy about the tree.)

And here's the grand finale! How beautiful and bright!
