Pretty Piggies

Everyone who meets my mom tells me, "Your mom is just the sweetest lady!"

Boy is she EVER the sweetest of the sweet! Yesterday, she gave me "Phase One" of my Christmas present – A Day of Pampering, which included a haircut, manicure AND pedicure. I've never ever ever had a pedicure before, and let me tell you, it was divine! I'm wondering if I can have a pedicure on my face, because I could swear my feet look 20 years younger!

GO AND GET ONE! They are MARVELOUS!

I pretty much despise nail polish because it chips after a day, is a total pain, and I forget to turpentine it off, and I end up looking like a unkempt redneck. So... I told Janet, the spa woman, "Please, no polish!"

My mom was like, "Are you KIDDING? It's CHRISTMAS!"

I thought about it for a second and decided she was right. Why not make my toes into ornaments! This morning, I couldn't stop admiring my feet. They even gave me these attractive mis-matched foam slippers to walk out of the salon in... FOR FREE! It was 40 degrees outside yesterday with a wind chill factor that felt like 20. The vision of me sprinting across the parking lot with my pink and green feet flapping in the breeze must have been a sight to see!

Maybe the next time I have to have an MRI of my brain, (I'm clasuterphobic) they'd let me dangle my feet oustide of the machine and Janet could massage them during the procedure... there's no doubt in my mind I would need less sedation. I may have to look into it. :-)

Thank you, Mom! I love you gobs.

I wish you all the best! Take good care of yourself - but know that your optimism and nicely skewed views will carry you far. Still, a little glogg now and then certainly couldn't hurt. ;)

...and thanks tons for the birthday wish!

I firmly believe that just about everything comes down to Mothers. One good Mother can make many good children and those children in turn make good parents and so on...

Good Mothers are the root of all good!

I've enjoyed everyday of your e-vent calendar...being a YOGA TEACHER, Massage Therapist, AND the pround owner of a MINI Cooper.Fret not about your feet...you don't wash dishes or zip zippers or close car doors with your feet so your polish will last a very long time. Peace
